At Aalberts integrated piping systems, we engineer mission-critical technologies that enable a clean, smart and responsible future. Today, we are proud to launch our 2025 Sustainability Snapshot, highlighting our regional progress and reinforcing our commitment to building a more sustainable industry. 

Our regional snapshot operates within the broader context of the Aalberts group’s overall sustainability goals. At the group level, we are committed to achieving net zero carbon by 2050 or earlier, maintaining a high Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) revenue contribution, and driving continuous improvement in reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Guided by the group’s “thrive 2030” strategy, IPS EMEA is executing on these ambitions through localised action, operational excellence, and innovation. 

our strategy pillars 

To focus our efforts, the integrated piping systems EMEA sustainability strategy is built on three core pillars: 

• Circularity: We are rethinking how we use resources by focusing on recycled materials, sustainable product design, and waste reduction. 

• Energy: We are driving towards net zero operations by maximising energy efficiency, optimising transport, and transitioning to renewable power sources. Since 2025, all of our EU factories are powered by 100% green electricity*. 

• Communication: We believe in data transparency. We are scaling our Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), while actively building internal and external sustainability awareness.

2025 key performance indicators & credentials

Our 2025 snapshot reflects significant milestones that solidify our position as a sustainable partner of choice: 

• EcoVadis Gold Rating: In May 2025, we achieved an EcoVadis Gold rating, placing us in the top 5% of evaluated companies. Notably, our integrated piping systems company in the Netherlands was the first within the entire Aalberts group to achieve this prestigious Gold rating. 

• ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Certifications: Our French factory successfully achieved ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (health and safety) certifications. Across integrated piping systems EMEA, over 80% of our locations are now ISO 14001 certified. 

• 2BA Data Transparency: We are among the first companies sharing environmental product data via 2BA, a leading Dutch datapool. Currently, over 80% of our product offering is covered by carbon data published on our website. 

• SDG Contribution: Our operations deliver innovative products that directly contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically driving revenue through clean water and sanitation, as well as efficient and renewable energy. 

fostering a culture of sustainability 

Technology alone cannot solve the climate crisis; it requires engaged people. In 2025, we actively championed environmental stewardship among our teams and our communities: 

• Training & Education: We delivered 530 hours of sustainability training to our employees to empower our internal teams. Externally, we provided 76 hours of sustainability training to our customers, including targeted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions on ‘Carbon in construction’. 
• Sustainability Ambassadors: We successfully onboarded 47 sustainability ambassadors across the organisation to share ideas, drive local initiatives, and embed our core values. 
• Creative Upcycling: In the spirit of “reduce, rethink, recycle”, we upcycled 2 Aalberts event banners into 24 limited-edition tote bags, keeping perfectly good materials out of landfill and raising awareness in the process. 
• SDG Flag Day: We raised 5 SDG flags across our facilities to demonstrate our solidarity with the UN’s global goals and raise awareness within our local communities.
