support barrier ring that helps take the guesswork out of the isntallation. Positioned between the gasket and housing segments, this barrier ring helps prevent gasket pinching and provides stability and facilitates easy key-to-groove alignment, even on challenging vertical installations.

The pre-lubricated EPDM “GapSeal” gasket with tip-sealing feature creates a clear centre stop point, making installation easier. Designed for both wet and dry systems, the gasket performs well in vacuum that can occur during system draining. With the torque-resistant coated bolts, you get direct tightening feedback, allowing for a smoother, more controlled installation – every time. The coupling had the right approvals & warranty: UL 213, FM 1920, 10-year extended warranty.
The Shurjoint Model F09 is a ready-to-install rigid coupling designed for moderate-pressure piping systems, including fire mains, long straight runs, and valve connections. With its angle-pad design, it installs easily over grooved pipe ends while providing a secure, rigid joint that prevents movement, even on extended pipe runs.
A built-in support barrier ring enhances stability and simplifies key-to-groove alignment, making vertical installations smoother while helping to prevent gasket pinching. The pre-lubricated EPDM gasket includes a GapSeal and center leg support, ensuring a reliable seal and making installation even easier.
To further improve the installer experience, the F09 features bolts with torque-resistant adhesive, providing subtle touch feedback for secure,
balanced tightening. It’s also designed to meet the ANSI B31.1, B31.9, and NFPA 13 support and hanging requirements, ensuring compliance in mission-critical applications.
